Foster Excited about First Trip to Pocono: Ryan Foster has experienced a whirlwind of experience within his first five ARCA RE/MAX Series events of his racing career. This weekend, Foster will take to the largest track he has competed on to date, the 2.5-mile triangular superspeedway of Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania with his first brand new ARCA car. With Foster's record to date in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, consistency is the key to success and the key to keeping Foster at the top of the ARCA Rookie of the Year point's standings.
While Foster has only started five of the six ARCA RE/MAX Series races this season, he has quickly climbed to the top of the ARCA Rookie of the Year standings as well as into the sixth position in ARCA RE/MAX Series Championship points. But Foster and his Tri-State Motorsports team know that their success has been brought about through their on-track consistency.
"Our goal has been simply to finish every race and for me to gain as much experience on these race tracks as possible," said Foster. "The cars have been so good and the whole team has just worked together so well at all of the races we have been to and all of that contributes a lot to the success we have seen this season. I'm pretty excited about Pocono because it is the biggest track that I will have raced on to this point and I know how good our speedway cars are going to be at Pocono and at Michigan."
With only five career ARCA RE/MAX Series starts, Foster has already earned one of the most impressive average finishing records of the top-ten drivers in the point standings. Foster has earned two top-five finishes coming in the past two races at the Kentucky Speedway and at the short track of Toledo Speedway, both with fifth place finishes. Foster also earned two top-ten finishes at Winchester Speedway and Salem Speedway. Foster also currently holds the best finishing average of the top-ten drivers in ARCA RE/MAX Series points with an average finish of 7.6 which is followed by fellow rookie competitor, Justin Allgaier with a finishing average of 7.75.
Foster is currently sixth in ARCA RE/MAX Series points, only 20 points away from the fifth position. Foster also holds the lead in ARCA Rookie of the Year points and is tied with fellow rookie, Ryan Howard. The Pocono 200 is set to take the green flag at 1:00pm ET on Saturday, June 10 and will be televised live on Speed.
