Foster Plans to Showcase Talent in Final Four of 2006: Ryan Foster has had some great races during his first season of competition in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, but he has also been forced to endure the ugly side of racing with a handful of DNFs, more than half of which have come in the last four weeks. But Foster feels confident in his team and his talent and he hopes to finish out these final four ARCA RE/MAX Series events with the finishes he knows he can achieve.
Foster earned his career-best ARCA RE/MAX Series finish only five weeks ago at the Michigan International Speedway where he earned a third place finish. Over the course of his 18 starts in 2006, Foster has earned an impressive three top-five finishes and seven top-ten finishes along with holding a solid position within the top-ten in ARCA Championship points and battling for the ARCA Rookie of the Year title.
"I really try to remember the top finishes we have had this season and stay focused on those," said Foster. "That has been a little harder over these last few weeks, but now that we have put the dirt tracks behind us, I am really looking forward to getting back to a speedway this weekend at Chicagoland. We are working hard on some plans for 2007 and working to secure sponsorship so I know I need to do my part and finish out the season with some more top-fives and top-tens."
Foster has not yet competed at the 1.5-mile Chicagoland Speedway, so he will once again rely on the experience of his team owner, Frank Kimmel, to teach him the best line around the track. Kimmel has earned one win at the speedway in the five starts the ARCA RE/MAX Series has made at Chicagoland. Foster has had success at one of the other 1.5-mile speedways on the circuit, Kentucky Speedway, where he earned a fifth place finish and a seventh place finish in the two visits the series has made there this season.
Foster has slipped to seventh in the ARCA RE/MAX Series point's championship, now 120 points out of the fifth position.
