Tim George Jr. Survives Pocono Brings Home Nineteenth Place Finish

Long Pond, Pennsylvania (June 6, 2009) --- Tim George Jr. and the No. 2 Ruby Tuesday Eddie Sharp Racing team began the Pocono ARCA 200 at Pocono Raceway from the tenth starting position. With qualifying and practice both rained out on Friday, it left little time for the ARCA field to get valuable time on the 2.5 mile Pocono triangle.

Owner's points determined the ARCA RE/MAX series field and a limited practice session was scheduled for Saturday morning prior to the race. With little track time, and a quick practice session, Tim George Jr. needed to be a quick student and learn all that he could about Pocono, in only 55 minutes. Even with such little time, George Jr. was able to finish a respectable nineteenth place finish in his No. 2 Ruby Tuesday/Chrome Hearts Toyota.

Tim George Jr., displaying a new RubyTueGo paint scheme, on his No. 2 Ruby Tuesday, Toyota, struggled to find the setup needed to run strong. In addition, George Jr. was among several ARCA RE/MAX Series rookies that needed the practice time at Pocono, as most had never seen the tricky triangle of Pocono Raceway.

"Pocono is a very fast place. It really requires a good set up, unfortunately we didn't really have that here today." said George Jr. after the race." I learned a lot and I'm looking forward to coming back. I just wish we would have had that extra hour of practice on the track. I would have felt more confident. I just felt extremely loose, all day. I needed to be able to get on the power sooner, and I wasn't able to, causing me to be off the pace. The guys worked hard to change it, but we must have missed on the spring and shock package."

"I'm glad to have our new Sponsor Chrome Hearts on the car this week...and we were able to promote RubyTueGo, for our Primary Sponsor, Ruby Tuesday. I'm really looking forward to getting back on track, and earning valuable points at Michigan next week." Concluded George Jr.

The next action for Tim George Jr. and the No. 2 Ruby Tuesday/Chrome Hearts Toyota will be at the Michigan International Speedway for the Racing For Wildlife 200 ARCA RE/MAX Series event on Friday June 12.
