Todd Bowsher driver of the GFS Marketplace #21 Ford in the ARCA ReMax Series is ready for the Pocono Triangle once again this season.
Todd and the Jack Bowsher & Associates Motorsports Team will unload the GFS Marketplace Ford at Pocono Raceway on Thursday for practice and Pork Pole Qualifying for The Giant 200. The green flag will drop on the ARCA ReMax Series at 1pm on Saturday.
Prior to the June Pocono event, Bowsher said, "Pocono is unlike any other track we race on, it's a big track but sometimes the racing reminds you of a short track it gets close and pretty racy, with the long back stretch and the short chute its just different from anywhere else, I guess that's why it's called the Pocono Triangle. We had good finishes at both events here last year 9th and 12th, so we're looking to better that his year." He still feels that way about Pocono, except the Bowsher team is bringing a little different race and engine combination to the triangle than they had here in the June event. Todd added, "We're hoping to get qualifying in this time, rain washed out our qualifying session here in June and we started by points, we had a decent finish here last month (14th), but we're pretty confident that we can improve on that for the upcoming race."
The ARCA ReMax Series had a weekend off following the Gateway event. however that doesn't mean that there was much down time as the GFS Marketplace Team has been at the shop everyday preparing to attack the remaining race schedule, with a mix of races left to play out the remainder of the season from the Pocono Raceway, short tracks, dirt tracks, and a superspeedway there is a wide range of preparation left to finish out the 2004 season.
