. Prior to this weekend's festivities at the 2.5-mile paved triangle, Townley will spend the day Thursday with his family at Hershey Park in Hershey, Pa.

A look back-Berlin: SunTrust Rookie of the year contender, John Wes Townley, brought home his fourth top-10 of the season, finishing eighth in the Berlin ARCA RE/MAX 200 at Berlin Raceway on Saturday.

Townley took the green flag in his first ARCA RE/MAX Series appearance at the .44-mile oval in the 14th starting position. Sitting comfortably inside the top-10, Townley's night took a wrong turn when his No. 09 machine was tagged by another series competitor sending him into the turn four wall. Townley brought the Zaxby's/BB&T/SPS/Saxon Group Ford down pit road to repair the damage to his right-rear bumper. Exceptional work from the RAB Racing pit crew kept Townley on the lead lap and the 18-year-old Watkinsville, GA native restarted at the rear of the field.

With 62 laps remaining Townley began his charge back to the front. At lap 174, Keith Hinkein, crew chief, brought the No. 09 machine down pit road for the final time during a caution for 2 tires. Townley restarted in the 10th position and battled his way to eighth in the last six laps before the checkered flag was waved on the 200-lap event.

After 12: After 12 of the 21 scheduled events in the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series Schedule, Townley has one top-five and four top-10 finishes; fifth at Kentucky Speedway in May, eighth at Berlin Raceway in July, ninth at Cayuga Motor Speedway in June, and 10th at Daytona International Speedway in February. The eighteen-year-old has finished in the top-15 nine out of 12 races, and has an average starting and finishing position of 13.50 and has also completed 96.67% of all laps attempted (1942 out of 2009).

Points Check: Townley maintained the 7th position in the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series Championship point standings after recording his fourth top-10 of the season last weekend at Berlin Raceway. Currently, Townley has 2450 points; only 30 points behind sixth place, Tom Hessert III and 405 points behind leader, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.

Robby Benton, owner of the No. 09 Zaxby's Ford also has 2450 points. RAB Racing at Pocono: In five starts at Pocono Raceway, the RAB Racing team has had two top-10 finishes; Damon Lusk in May and July, 2006. The team has a 7.00 average starting position, a 20.60 finishing position and has led 11 laps; Justin Marks, 2007.

Rookie Race: Townley remains fifth in the 2008 SunTrust Rookie of the year standings with 248 points; 12 points behind fourth place, Tom Hessert III and 62 points behind leader, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.

Pocono Chassis: John Wes Townley will pilot chassis No. 022 for the 47th running of the ARCA RE/MAX Series at Pocono Raceway. This is a previous Ricky Rudd chassis and was previously run at Michigan Int'l Raceway in 2008 where the No. 09 qualified 8th and finished 13th.
