MARKS MOVES INTO TOP TEN IN POINTS AFTER NASHVILLE
NASHVILLE, TN (4-8-07) Justin Marks, driver of the #65 Construct Corps Dodge, finished 13th in the ARCA RE/MAX Series 150 at Nashville Superspeedway Saturday, April 7th. After qualifying a career best second, Marks was able to maintain in the top five until a mishap in the pits, and a spin on lap 81, caused him to play catch-up the remainder of the day.
"I knew that going into this race our car was better on the long runs," Marks said. "So at the beginning of the race I concentrated on being patient and hitting my marks, knowing the car would come to us. After a long green flag run, we had a pretty good pace going, so with no adjustments needed, we chose to come in for four tires and fuel on our first stop. Unfortunately, the cold weather prevented the lug nut glue from setting up and the pit crew fought to get them all on, losing valuable track position."
Although taking home the 13th spot wasn't the finish that Marks and this RAB Racing with Brack Maggard team wanted, this 13th place finish moved Marks from 29th to eighth in the ARCA RE/MAX Series Championship driver points.
"I am so proud of everyone on this team. I know that it is going to take some time for me to get used to driving these cars and racing them, but I believe that this is one of the best teams in the ARCA Series, and I wouldn't want to be out here with anyone else."
The next race for RAB Racing with Brack Maggard is the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA 200 by Federated Auto Parts at Salem Speedway Sunday, April 22nd. The 200 lap race is scheduled to begin at 2:15 PM ET.
