The GFS Marketplace Team heads back to Nashville Superspeedway this Saturday for the Waste Management 200, the second and final appearance of the ARCA ReMax Series at Nashville for the 2004 season.
Todd Bowsher driver of the GFS Marketplace Ford Taurus is set to recover from the engine problems that plagued the team at the Nashville spring event.
The Bowsher Team has made some major changes since their last showing on the 1.33 mile concrete racing surface. The April event saw Bowsher unload the back-up car, when the engine failed on his primary car prior to the first practice session, the team took a provisional starting spot in Pork Pole Qualifying. Although he was forced to use a provisional starting spot Bowsher was determined to get the most out of the situation, putting the Gordon Food Service, GFS Marketplace car in a position to get the best finishing position possible. Starting in the last spot and bringing the car to a respected 17th place finish earned the GFS Marketplace Team the Gladiator Garage Works Gladiator of the Race Award.
With all of the changes and adjustments in place the GFS Marketplace Team is poised to take on the Nashville Superspeedway once again, only this time the confidence level is high in the Bowsher camp. Todd says, " We're looking to Nashville with a renewed confidence, we've had some problems on the short tracks but we're not looking back to that we're concentrating on what's in front of us this week and that's the Nashville race, we suffered some problems here in the spring race, but we've got those taken care of and we're ready to face this deal head on and make up what we lost here earlier in the year."
The GFS Marketplace Team will be at Nashville Superspeedway on Friday August 13 for practice and Pork Pole Qualifying, with the green flag set to drop on the ARCA ReMax Series, Waste Management 200 on Saturday afternoon, August 14 at 1:00pm local time, live on SPEED.
