Bean Reloads for Nashville
#37 Dexter Bean and Team GLOCK Racing will head to Nashville to compete in the Toyota 150 at Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday, August 9th in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. Coming off a hard hit on the backstretch wall at Pocono that totaled the Team GLOCK #37 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Team GLOCK Racing with Dexter Bean will reload the Spraker Racing hauler and bring their proven former DEI 021 car. "All of us at Team GLOCK are hoping that this is the week that our luck turns around. We have had competitive cars every week and Dexter has done a great job of driving, but recently, racing luck has not been on our side. At Nashville, Dexter will drive the same car that he piloted to a top-ten at Michigan hopefully we will have a repeat performance! Dex and I have had success together at this track in the past and we believe that this team can do it again!"
There is no better time than the present for Team GLOCK as the team prepares for the 1.33 mile concrete oval. "Racing on concrete has a whole different feel to it and it takes a bit getting used to," commented Bean. "I have raced here before and loved the feel of the track from the very beginning." Indeed, Bean finished ninth and seventh last year as he made his run at the championship and looks to repeat his top ten performances with a shot at a win this time around.
Moving up in the standings weighs heavily on Team GLOCK as they are poised to regain their ranking in the top ten. With eight races remaining, strong finishes are expected as the ARCA RE/MAX Series moves towards the end of the season. With dirt tracks, road courses and superspeedways in the not-too-distant future, Team GLOCK is looking forward to the performance they will get out of their young driver from Wisconsin.
In two weeks the driver from Westby will travel to The Great Outdoors Festival in Oshkosh, WI and will accompany GLOCK Spokesperson, R. Lee Ermey, star of the hit series MAIL CALL. The duo will meet the fans, sign autographs and take advantage of the fair like activities as Hunters and Fisherman from all around the country come together to learn about the latest and greatest in the world of everything outdoors.
Weekend activities will begin with practice on Friday afternoon from 1:30 4:30pm. Two laps and all positions of SIM Factory Pole Qualifying will take place on Saturday at 10:30am and the race will begin at 3:30pm. The race will be televised live from the SPEED Channel in Eastern Standard Time. Practice, qualifying and the race can all be viewed from Team GLOCK Racing Live Timing and Scoring on arcaracing.com.
