Coming off a 6th place finish at Pocono, looking to carry that momentum into Brent's home state, The Allgaier Motorsports team is fired up.
This Week's Car - Robb Brent will pilot car No. 402 this weekend in the Racing for Wildlife 200 at Michigan International Speedway. Car 402 came to Allgaier Motorsports from Ganassi Racing this weekend's race at MIS will be car 402's third race this season. Since joining the Allgaier Motorsports fleet car 402 has had a very respectable fifth place finish earlier this season at Texas Motor Speedway and a sixth place finish just last weekend at Pocono Raceway with Robb Brent behind the wheel.
Brent at Michigan - In his 3 previous ARCA Racing Series starts at the 2 mile paved oval, in Brooklyn Michigan. Brent has a combined average starting spot of 10.3 and a combined average finish of 12.7. This will be his second career start with Allgaier Motorsports at Michigan International Speedway and his second start in a Dodge at the famed speedway.
Special Charities - This Friday night, The No. 36 will carry the logos of two very special home town charities. Paws for life and The Macomb Charitable Foundation.
Paws for Life, is an animal rescue non-profit organization focusing on the welfare of animals. It was founded in 2007 & is run by a group of hard working dedicated volunteers. Paws for Life rescues homeless, neglected, abused & abandoned dogs, cats, puppies & kittens throughout Michigan. The rescue believes in spaying/neutering, education & legislative initiatives to end the suffering & overpopulation of companion animals. Paws for Life's mission is to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. The rescue believes in matching animals & families to find the right fit for everyone. Paws for Life promises to exhaust all efforts to place adoptable pets in lifelong, loving homes.
The Macomb Charitable Foundation exists to help children living at or below poverty level in Macomb County, MI. Our goal is to alleviate the suffering of children and their families by providing financial assistance for items such as but not limited to; food, clothing, personal care items, rent/utility assistance, vehicle repair, educational assistance and when available personal & spiritual mentoring. This goal is accomplished through the generosity of our contributors by providing children with benefits and services that meet their basic needs.
Special Guest - Orchard Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram hosted the Allgaier Motorsports team for two days this week, giving the local fans a chance to get up close and personal with the team, the racecar and the hauler. As part of the appearance the dealership held a drawling for 2 garage passes to this weekend's event at Michigan International Speedway. Winning the passes was Tom Murphy; Tom will get to spend Thursday and Friday with the team, have lunch with the team both days and most importantly cheer on Robb and Allgaier Motorsports.
Meet the Driver - On Thursday June 10th Robb Brent will participate in The Brooklyn-Irish Hills Race Fest presented by Country Market from 6:00pm - 7:00pm at 131 North Main Street Brooklyn, Michigan 49230.
Robb will also participate in the MIS cares autograph session for a short but very meaningful time following the drivers meeting on Friday. It will include children from various charities including Make-A-Wish of Michigan and DeVos Children's hospital.
