DENVER, N.C. (June 12, 2008) - Eddie Sharp Racing heads to the Irish Hills of Brooklyn, Michigan for Friday's Racing for Wildlife 200. SunTrust Rookie of the Year candidates Scott Speed and Justin Lofton are facing Michigan International Speedway for the first time while Ken Butler, III is looking to improve on last year's seventh place finish at the two-mile paved oval. Running on momentum from a strong race at Pocono Raceway, ESR drivers Speed, Butler, III and Lofton each have high hopes for top finishes and a trip to Victory Lane.

"I'm really looking forward to bringing our teams here," said team owner, Eddie Sharp. "We have a very talented group and to have two of my cars contending for a win last week at Pocono is simply a testament of the cars that the teams are building and the talent of these young drivers."

Speed, Butler, III, and Lofton have proven to be very competitive on speedways. Speed scored the first ESR victory this season at Kansas Speedway in April and is third in the Superspeedway Challenge. Butler is currently in the second place in the Superspeedway Challenge. Justin Lofton is looking to bounce back from a disappointing finish at Pocono after almost pulling off the win. Lofton and his team are looking forward to running the same car as last weekend and hoping for better luck this time.

Speed will extend his MIS experience in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Speed will be behind the wheel of the No. 22 Red Bull Toyota for Bill Davis Racing in Saturday's Cool City Custom's 200.

Scott Speed (No. 2 Red Bull Toyota):

"This is the same car that we won with at Kansas and ran second at Kentucky and Pocono. It's a fast car and the team is really familiar with it and how to best set it up. I think we'll be really good here at MIS and have no problems at all."

Ken Butler, III (No. 22 Aaron's Lucky Dog Dream Machine Toyota):

"I'm looking forward to returning to MIS. We finished seventh here last season. We've been strong at the speedways and I think we can continue that trend here. We're currently second in the Superspeedway Challenge points, we just need to gain some on Stenhouse this weekend. My guys have worked hard and I really appreciate it. I am sure we'll have a strong car this weekend."

Justin Lofton (No. 93 Lofton Cattle Dodge):

"It was great to have Eddie on top of the pit box, calling the shots last weekend. I am really looking forward to running that same race car this weekend and I am hoping that we can seal the deal this week. We decided to focus our efforts on making our cars better and didn't come to the open test here. As an organization ESR has some really great notes and I'm hoping to lean on the veterans of the organization."
