"Carter-2-Motorsports Fields Two Entries At Lakeland"
LAKELAND, Fla (March 20, 2007) - - The ARCA RE/MAX Series will make history Saturday night at USA International Speedway. 35 of the best ARS (ARCA RE/MAX Series) drivers will take the green flag in the inaugural Construct Corps-PBG 250. ARCA RE/MAX Series rookie Roger Carter II hopes to etch his name into the record books with his first career top-10 finish.
For the first time this season, Carter-2-Motorsports hailing from Statesville, North Carolina will field two Dodge Chargers for an ARCA event with newcomer Nick Tucker behind the wheel. Despite the double dose, Carter II, is remaining focused on his No. 48 FreeFeds.org Dodge Charger looking to take the famed No. 48 to the front.
"We're looking forward to Lakeland," said Carter II. "We've worked a lot on our program since the first race of the season, so our team's morale is high and we're looking forward to a little short track action Saturday night."
Aiding Carter II's effort will be FreeFeds.org A very unique and promising new sponsor to the racing community in 2007 has the team eyeing instant success and exposure.
FreeFeds.org's sole purpose is to gain public support for adding parole for non-violent, non repeat offenders to the federal prison system. They are of the belief that the federal justice system is in need of a total reform. The organization, however, is mainly interested in working toward adding a system of parole for non-violent offenders as part of that overall reform.
Free Feds Foundation supports all national, state and local incentives to instate the 5.3 million ex-felons in the United States with voting rights, so they will have their constitutional rights reinstate and have valuable input into our political system after almost 200 years.
"We're making progress both on and off the track with our sponsor FreeFeds.org," explained Carter II. "It's very excited to have a new sponsor like them involved with our race team and in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. We have a lot of additional exposure planned for them this season; we're looking forward towards the rest of the year."
In addition to FreeFeds.org, Explore America, The Idaho Observer, RVrentToGo.com, 100fold.net, and Accelerating Developments International (ADI) will join the team's effort in the Construct Corps-PBG 250 as associate sponsors.
"Carter-2-Motorsports would like to thank everyone who helps us get to the track. Without their support, we wouldn't be where we are at today. We're looking forward to getting past the Daytona bumps and shine in Lakeland."
ARCA icon James Hylton will be on hand to assist both Carter-2-Motorsports entries this weekend in Central Florida. Hylton won't have as busy weekend as he did in Daytona when the legendary driver was assisting his ARCA effort while trying to also make the Daytona 500.
"We're glad to have James here this weekend," added Carter II. "James knows a lot about these ARCA cars and he is a big short track fan. I know if we are struggling with something or he sees we're doing something wrong, he'll guide us in the right direction and be our leader. It doesn't get much better than that."
Carter-2-Motorsports (www.carter2motorsports.com) whose ARCA RE/MAX Series operation is based in Statesville, North Carolina will run Dodge Chargers in the ARCA RE/MAX Series and NASCAR Nextel Cup Series (NNC) in 2007. The team will run the No. 48 handed over from the legendary James Hylton who retired from ARCA competition following the 2006 season finale at the new Iowa Speedway. The organization plans to run the No. 54 in the premier series of NASCAR, the NNC series later this year.
