Brooklyn, MI - Kerry Earnhardt won the race today and lead the most laps. Ed Berrier finished in second. Only three other cars on lead lap.

Pole sitter, Jason Jarrett went behind the wall just past the half-way point where the crew went to work to return Jarrett to the race.

Fran Kimmel was running up with the front pack when he also went into the garage area early.

The top drivers in the beginning of the race stayed that way during caution flag and pit stops: Blaise Alexander, Earnhardt, Berrier, Jerry Granville, Stuart Kirby, Andy Belmont, Tim Steele and David Keith. During the final pit stop, the caution came out which shifted the field since some of the teams got caught out.

One major accident involving Todd Shafer - hit outside wall turn 1, caught on fire and then slid across track and hard hit into the inside wall. Shafer has been transfered to the Jackson hospital for further evaluationa and possible smoke inhalation. Shafer did jump out of the car under his own power.

With 21 laps to go, only 6 cars on the lead lap: Earnhardt, Berrier, Kirby, Belmont and Glanville. Side by side racing for first place with Berrier and Earnhardt.
