After strong practice sessions on Friday at Kentucky Speedway, Todd Bowsher wheeled the GFS Marketplace #21 Ford to 8th on the starting grid for the Channel 5-205 ARCA ReMax Series event .

Once the field was set "Happy Hour" was good to Bowsher as he and the Jack Bowsher & Associates Team adjusted on the race set-up and got the GFS Marketplace #21 dialed in for the event.

Under the lights at Kentucky Speedway Bowsher took the green flag and never looked back, using the outside groove to his advantage, moved to the 3rd position early and it was a 3-car break away, with the #64 of Ryan Hemphill leading and the #46 of Frank Kimmel running 2nd, the front trio began to pull away. Matt Hagans driver of the #9 blew an engine and laid down oil on the track, Kimmel spun in turn 4 and was in the wall as Bowsher narrowly escaped the spinning car. From there Todd and the crew were pretty pumped up, running in the 2nd spot, the crew was quick on pit road for tires and fuel. Todd was racing hard with the #91 of Christi Passmore, dove under her for the pass, the car broke loose and spun in turn 4, Bowsher saved it, preventing the car from making any contact all the while remaining on the lead lap. Pitting for tires and fuel once more, Todd brought his Ford through the field to a stellar 7th place finish.

Following the race Todd said, " This was a good run for all of us, we're finally showing our true potential, this is just a hint as to what the GFS MarketplaceTeam is going to accomplish this year. We all did our homework and pulled this team back to where we should be, even though we spun and it cost us more than just track position we ended up with some suspension damage that caused the car to push like a snow plow, we still came out with a 7th place finish and proved that we had a car to give Hemphill, Venturini & Gibson a run for their money.

Owner and 3 time ARCA ReMax Series Champion, Jack Bowsher said, " We said after the test here at Kentucky that we were gonna go back to the shop and regroup and that's what we did, and it paid off, we turned some heads at the test and backed it up here at the race, Todd ran up front and looked good doing it."

Todd added, " We've moved back up 2 spots in the point standings and looking forward to next week. I've figured out it's a lot more fun to race up front with the leaders, this Kentucky Speedway is a cool place, I like it better every time we come back here, we'll be even better when we come back here for the race in July." He also said, "We know the live broadcast on SPEED and WLWT was exciting for all of our friends and fans that didn't get to come here and see it live but stay tuned there's more to come, we're looking ahead to Toledo Speedway next weekend and a good strong performance there."

The ARCA ReMax Series will be at Toledo Speedway in Ohio on Sunday May 16 and the Jack Bowsher & Associates Motorsports Team will have the GFS Marketplace Ford Taurus ready to rock on the 1/2 mile short track.
