Second Time Around at Kentucky Speedway for Dexter Bean and Team GLOCK
Mooresville, NC (7.15.08) After a three week break in the ARCA RE/MAX Series 2008 schedule, Dexter Bean is excited to get back to one of
his favorite tracks on the tour. He will race in the Kentucky ARCA RE/MAX 150 on Friday, July 18th from Kentucky Speedway. When Team GLOCK raced at Kentucky in May, they had the unfortunate experience of getting hit from behind after the car in front of them spun out. They had been a force to be reckoned with during the race, but had to spend quite a bit of time in the garage to repair some rear end damage to the Team GLOCK Chevrolet. Dexter crossed the checkered flag in a disappointing 22nd place.
Team GLOCK wants to redeem themselves at the Bluegrass track this weekend. "Team GLOCK is excited to be returning to Kentucky. Everyone here at Spraker Racing has been hard at work since Canada preparing the 021 chassis for its next appearance. We have spent a lot of time on it and I feel that this car is our best 1.5 mile racecar. Kentucky is a fun race with lots of room to battle on track. The team looks to continue the stretch of top 10 runs and challenge ourselves for our first victory," said Dexter.
Since the last Kentucky race, there has been a positive shift of momentum for Team GLOCK Racing. They have recorded 2 top fives and 2 top tens at the Toledo, Pocono, Michigan and Cayuga tracks. Dexter and the team plan to keep the momentum in their favor and have been working hard at Spraker Racing Enterprises. This car was rd carried to Toledo where Team GLOCK Racing recorded a 3 place finish which boosted their confidence after some bad racing experiences at the beginning of the season.
