Dexter Bean/Team GLOCK Racing Looking for a Win in Kansas
#37 Dexter Bean/Team GLOCK Racing are looking to recover from the first three races at the Kansas Speedway on Friday, April 25th during the 8th Annual Kansas Lottery $150 Grand in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. They had another disappointing race at Iowa Speedway on Saturday, April 18th during the Prairie Meadows 250. The GLOCK Chevrolet was running in third place when a tire was cut on lap 35 which drove the GLOCK Chevrolet into the turn two wall. The collision sent Dexter to the garage area where team owner and crew chief, Jeff Spraker made the decision to sit out of the race because of the extensive damage to the car. This happened just one week after Dexter was hit from behind in the Salem Speedway multi-car collision where he finished the race in 22nd place.
Bean of Westby, WI is hoping to pull off his first ARCA RE/MAX Series win at Kansas, "Kansas is going to be big for Team GLOCK. Everyone here at Spraker Racing has worked all around the clock to be ready. We have had a tough couple weeks of bad luck. This week is the week to break through. I've run well at Kansas in the past and look to continue on Friday!"
Spraker Racing Enterprises is taking a 2007 Monte Carlo - chassis number 030 to the 1.5 mile paved track. This is a former DEI car with a strong history of great performances. "We are keeping our heads high, but these first three races have been tough. We have proven we can be up front, but we have to close the deal and get a win in Kansas," said Jeff Spraker.
On Friday, practice will be held from 8:30am 10:50am and SIM Factory Pole Qualifying will be held at 12:40pm. The Kansas Lottery $150 Grand (150 miles/100 lap) will begin at 3:45pm Central Standard Time and will be televised on the SPEED Channel at 8:30pm CST. Live timing and scoring will be available on arcaracing.com.
