Allgaier looks to improve in Nashville
Nashville, TN (August 9, 2006) - ARCA RE/MAX Series rookie Justin Allgaier heads to the Nashville Superspeedway this weekend for the second time hoping to improve from his first attempt at the track this season. Allgaier, who came out of the box for his first race of the year for the spring Nashville race and missed the event by only eleven-tenths of a second. With the entry list once again packed with 50 drivers attempting to qualify, Allgaier hopes that experience will assist him in his quest.
"I definitely want to do better than our first attempt in Nashville," Justin Allgaier said. "We only made one lap in practice before the engine quit. Changing it left us scrambling to get it done before qualifying, giving us no track time to practice. We've learned a lot since then and feel pretty confident that we'll have a good start this weekend. We've put a new cooling system in 'Gator', my favorite car, which should help. We run a sealed water system and have had trouble the last couple races with it so changing it out should help greatly. This team has worked so hard under my crew chief Larry Moore and with only ten races left in the season; we really need to have some luck on our side. Our finishes haven't shown the caliber of this team and I look to change that in Nashville."
Allgaier heads into the fourteenth race of the ARCA RE/MAX Season 14th in championship points. He and the rest of the ARCA RE/MAX Series teams take to the D-shaped concrete track at the Nashville Superspeedway for the running of the ARCA 200 slated to begin Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 2:00 pm CT. The event will be broadcast live on SPEED.
