LEBANON, Tennessee (April 14, 2006) - - ARCA RE/MAX Series veteran Johnny Leonard overcame several hiccups from Nashville Superspeedway Friday to earn a berth for Saturday's PFG Lester 150, the second event of the 2006 season.

Enroute to yesterday's inspection sessions at NSS, the vehicle that was pulling the No. 13 Jack/Cole, Inc. Chevrolet Monte Carlo broke down leaving the team stranded and unable to arrive at the 1.333-mile track until early Friday morning.

The Jack/Cole Racing, Inc. worked franticly to make up for the missed time from Thursday only being able to put Leonard on the track a few moments before the end of the first and only practice session of the day.

While the team remained deep in the speed charts, it didn't matter; Leonard acquired some laps and shook down his sponsorless No. 13.

"Sometimes that's the way it goes," said Leonard, a native of Cape Coral, Florida. "We just have had bad luck this weekend. I don't care where we qualify, we'll take anything after what this team has had to go through this weekend."

In time trials, Leonard once again took it easy. Leonard paced the concrete track 32.956 seconds, or 145.612 MPH. The time wasn't fast enough to put the successful entrepreneur into the locked top-32, but will start the PFG Lester 150 in 35th thanks to his owner points from the 2005 season.

"We're in the show, that's all that matters," he said. "With all the headaches we've had this weekend, it would be nice to improve on my ninth place (career best) finish from last year."

The PFG Lester 150 (150 miles/113 laps) is the second of 23 events on the 2006 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. The race is set to take the green flag Saturday, April 15th. The race will be televised live on SPEED beginning at 1:30pm (EST).
