Conyers, Georgia - - Racecar driver Jimmy Henderson is resting comfortably at home this week after undergoing immediate surgery last Friday morning to remove his appendix.

Henderson, who has competed in the American Speed Association, and ARCA RE/MAX Series this season was rushed to the hospital late Thursday night after suffering from major abdominal pains.

"I'm glad this is almost over with," explained Henderson, who was slated to compete in the American Speed Association event this weekend at Indianapolis Raceway Park.

"I endured a lot of pain on Thursday, my wife took me to the hospital, and then the doctors told me they needed to take my appendix out, I told them hurry, because I was in so much pain," he added.

Henderson admits, the next couple weeks will be tough. "I'm going to be taking it easy that's for sure. I'm scheduled to race in the ARCA RE/MAX Series event at Nashville in August, and the doctors have reassured me that I will be completely healed by then, I'm just looking forward to get healthy once again, and more important behind the wheel of a racecar."

Jimmy Henderson, a native of Georgia will make his seconds start for TC Motorsports in the ARCA RE/MAX Series next month at Nashville Superspeedway piloting the No. 35 Flagship RV machine.
