Timmy Hill finishes 19th at Iowa
Timmy Hill in his Fuel Doctor USA #47 Chevy showed his natural talent once again, this time in the ARCA Remax Series at Iowa Speedway.
The 17-year old was quick out of the box and qualified 25th after a minor slip slowed his lap time considerably.
"The track was pretty slick and when I got back into the throttle in turn two it broke loose. Rookie mistake on my part in just trying too hard, but the car will be good in the race," stated Hill.
When the green flag dropped, Hill took charge and quickly moved into the top 15 by the first pit stop. After a four tire stop, Hill experienced a bad vibration.
"I need to bring it in, it's vibrating really bad," Hill was heard over his radio.
The Fuel Doctor USA team went to work changing tires once again but it did not stop the vibration.
"We are just going to get some valuable seat time and get what we can get", stated Crew Chief Gary Cogswell.
Hill drove a clean remainder of the race and finished 19th with the Fuel Doctor USA Chevy.
"We were hoping for better, but it was a great evening for us with valuable experience that we needed. The car is in one piece and we will be back with the goal of winning at the next event," stated Hill.
