PIERRE BOURQUE RACING ARCA EVENT AT IOWA
Ottawa, ON. (July 6, 2010) Pierre Bourque has an opening this weekend from his duties in the Canadian NASCAR season. So the veteran driver will be keeping busy at Iowa Speedway in the ARCA Racing series.
Bourque will jump behind the wheel of the ESR Toyota Camry for the reigning series champion owners Eddie Sharp Racing this Saturday July 10th in the Prairie Meadow 200 at Iowa Speedway.
This is not the first visit to Iowa Speedway to participate in the ARCA Racing series for the talented driver. In 2008 Pierre Bourque not only participated in the event but put on quite a driving exhibition.
Bourque was relegated to the back of the field due a rain-out of qualifying. He would start the feature event from last place, 41st on the grid and put on a memorable display. "We passed 25 cars during the race" said the enthusiastic driver. "The car was great to drive and coming home 16th was a terrific result" he added.
In the fall of last year Bourque participated in the Camping World Truck series event for Andy Hillenburg at Iowa Speedway. "We were doing well but unfortunately had a mechanical issue that ended our day early or we had a good run going" stated Bourque.
The return to ARCA Racing and to Iowa Speedway is a highly-anticipated one for Bourque. "I'm really looking forward to seeing all my friends in the ARCA series again" said Bourque. "And Iowa race fans are absolutely fantastic, their support is truly inspiring.
Iowa Speedway is also a venue where Bourque really enjoys his time on the track. "I just love this place" stated the driver. "I really enjoy the track layout with its impressive banking in the corners. It makes for great racing and I can't wait to get going this weekend" he added.
