It's official. Hawk Brake, a division of Wellman Friction Products, has signed a 3 year program to become the Official Brake Pads of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA). The new announcement entitles Hawk Brake to official product status with the ARCA's Bondo/Mar-Hyde and Lincoln Welders Truck Series offering a variety of product certificates to drivers from both divisions as well as year-end cash awards. "This is not only exciting but good business sense," said Hawk Brake Product General Manager Carl Harbert. "We're constantly looking for the very best places to market our product and it's hard to ignore ARCA. They've been a highly respected motorsports entity for 46 years and counting. We feel we just couldn't go wrong aligning ourselves with not only ARCA but their big-time players as well. We're, unequivocally, extremely proud of our new association." First and 5th place finishers in each Bondo/Mar-Hyde race will receive $100 product certificates and $75 for the same finishing positions in the Truck Series. In addition to that, a 'Best Brake of the Race Award' will be awarded in the form of a $100 product certificate to a driver in both the B/M-H as well as the Truck Series. In year-end awards, $4,000 will be awarded among the top 5 B/M-H point finishers with $100 product certificates going to positions 6 through 10. $1,100 will be awaiting the top point finishers in the Truck Series spread out among the first 4 positions as well as $75 in product certificates to 5th through 10th. "We're committed to providing quality marketing opportunities to quality companies," said ARCA Marketing Director Jim Clarke. "And this concept exemplifies our association with Hawk Brake; a quality company doing business with ARCA. It's another win-win situation for both parties and we're absolutely thrilled to have Hawk Brake on the ARCA team." Eligibility requirements include a patch on the uniform and a decal on the car.
