Kimmel Looking to Continue July Hot Streak at Gateway: Looking back on the stats from the past two months it seems apparent that Frank Kimmel and the Tri-State Motorsports team were not too fond of the month of June, but they really like July. In the past four races, starting with the July 1 event at the Kansas Speedway, the Pork Racing team has not finished worse than second and has scored two wins including the past weekend at the Pocono Raceway. This weekend the team hopes to finish July on a high note as the ARCA RE/MAX Series travels to St. Louis, Missouri and the Gateway International Raceway for Friday night's Shop 'n Save 150.

"This has been a great four weeks for our Pork Racing team," said Kimmel. "We really had a tough couple of races there in June with the blown tires at both Pocono and Michigan, but the team never let it get them down and we have all rebounded for a great few weeks. To get two wins and two second place finishes in the last four weeks is just a credit to the hard work of this entire team and I'm really proud that we have been able to place the Pork Ford Fusion back on top of the ARCA RE/MAX Series Championship point's standings."

While many of the race tracks that the ARCA RE/MAX Series teams visit are tracks that Kimmel has raced on numerous times, the Gateway International Raceway has only been raced on by the series on four occasions. Kimmel has earned one win, three top-five finishes and four top-ten finishes at the raceway, but admits that it is not one of his better race tracks.

"I really like coming to Gateway," said Kimmel. "I'm just not very good around this place. I know our finishing record here is pretty good, but it is a really tough track to get the right handle on. Plus this is another one of the races where we have a lot of the NASCAR driver development teams to compete with and many of them have done quite a bit of testing to prepare for this race. But I think we have a strong set-up for this race and we should be good on Friday night."

Following a post-race inspection penalty at the Pocono Raceway, the Tri-State Motorsports team was penalized 25 points knocking their points lead from 60 points down to 35 points entering this weekend's event at Gateway. The Shop 'n Save 150 is scheduled to take the green flag at 9:00pm ET on Friday, July 28 at the Gateway International Raceway. The event will be televised live on SPEED.
