Dexter Bean Heads To Nashville Looking For His First Top Ten Finish Of The Season

LEBANON, Tennessee (April 11, 2006) - - Dexter Bean and BlackJack Racing head for Nashville's PFG Lester 150 this week ready to race into their first top-ten finish of the season. Dexter will be getting behind the wheel of his No. 6 Vote4dexter.com-Five Star Telecom Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Dexter and his team are very confident about the upcoming race after producing some very competitive times in pre-race testing that occurred two weeks ago.

On March 28th, the BlackJack Team ventured to Nashville to take advantage of the eight hour testing session, on the 1.333-mile concrete elliptical. Dexter and the car were resilient during testing, with a time of 30.380 seconds at 57.604 MPH, excelling him into ninth on the speed charts.

These results of this testing session would add enthusiasm to any driver. Nashville will mark Dexter's sixth start on the ARCA RE/MAX Series tour which adds even more momentum to claim a top-ten finish.

Dexter and the rest of the BlackJack Racing team have been working on every meticulous detail with the help and guidance of Spraker Racing. Jeff Spraker of Spraker Racing has served a mentor for the BlackJack team since late last season.

The second event on the ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule takes place this Saturday April 15th in Lebanon, Tennessee. With 41 drivers taking the green flag, The PFG Lester plans to keep you on the edge of your seat as you watch your favorite driver finish this 113-lap event.

â^a^yI am really looking forward to the race this Saturday and can't wait to get back on Nashville's track, they have such a nice facility," said Dexter, who notched two top-ten finishes in four starts last season. "I was able to get a good feel for how we will run during the upcoming event. We have a great car that ran real strong during testing and I feel we will be very competitive this weekend."

A top-ten finish in the PFG Lester 150 isn't the only conquest Dexter is striving to achieve. Dexter has been selected out of 1,600 applicants for an upcoming reality television show entitled Racin' for a Livin.'

Racin' for a Livin' is a once in a lifetime opportunity to receive seven fully sponsored races in a NASCAR Busch Series car during the 2007 season. This series relies on Internet voting to select the twelve participants for the show. Dexter is looking forward to racing the full ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule but is also excited about the new opportunities Racin' for a Livin' presents.

The PFG Lester 150 (150 miles/113 laps) is the second of 23 events on the 2006 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. Practice begins Friday, April 14th with a two-hour ten minute (12:00pm-2:10pm EST) session planned. Pork pole qualifying is also on tap for Friday (5:30pm EST) with the race set to take the green flag Saturday, April 15th. The race will be televised live on the SPEED channel beginning at 1:30pm (EST).
