Can you believe it's your 20th Daytona International Speedway start?
"I really didn't consider it until I started getting asked about it leading up to this weekend. Any accomplishment at Daytona is special, so I'm blessed to have been able to race at this track that many times in my career."
You've had some good finishes at Daytona but have never been able to get over that hump and win. What will it take to get in victory lane here for you?
"Honestly, we've never completely focused on Daytona like some other teams. Don't get me wrong we want to win their badly, but our team understands that there are 18 other races that lead to a championship."
How is your No. 44 Ansell-Menards Ford for this weekend?
"I think we have a good Ansell-Menards Ford Fusion for this Saturday. It's the same car we ran at Talladega last year and until we were shuffled out with a lap to go, we ran around fourth or fifth the entire race."
Did you do anything interesting during your off-season?
"Not really. I just worked at the shop, getting ready for this race season and spent time with my family. I was able to put my Ansell gloves to work and help my son on his race cars, plus it gave me a little time to tinker on a few things in my personal shop. Usually, we take a vacation but I think my family is going to visit Disney World after this Saturday's race."
What would it mean to put Ansell and Menards in victory lane for the first time in 2011?
"Both Ansell and Menards have been with us for a few years now and they're both tremendous partners, so to say the least, it would mean a great deal for our program. Truthfully, it's the number one priority."
