September 7, 2004 (Mooresville, North Carolina) - ESPN will debut the second season of its hit show "The Dream Job" next week as 10 finalists compete for a one-year contract for a SportsCenter desk job. Rookie driver Ryan Hemphill would strongly argue that he is the holder of the prized "Dream Job" this season in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. The 22-year-old rookie will head into the Chicagoland Speedway this weekend searching for an incredible seventh win of his abbreviated season in the ARCA Series. Hemphill will pilot his ever strong #64 TRIMPSA DODGE for the running of the ReadyHosting.com 200 at the smooth 1.5 mile layout in Joliet, Illinois.
"I have had a few weeks off and I am ready to get back behind the wheel of this TRIMSPA DODGE," said Hemphill. "We have had an incredible season so far and I look to finish strong here in the last few races starting this weekend at Chicagoland. We tested strong here a few weeks ago but we are bringing back a different car for the race - a brand new DODGE that has been built. I have all the confidence in the world in my crew chief (Greg Tester) and the guys on this crew to give me a great hot rod for the race."
The 200 mile event will mark the career debut for the Apollo, Pennsylvania native at the D-shaped speedway of Chicagoland. The first trip to tracks have not been a problem for Ryan this year as he collected wins at Kentucky, Lowe's and Kansas on his first trips to these 1.5 mile tracks as well.
Hemphill and his TRIMSPA team tested in the ARCA open test at Chicago a few weeks ago and turned the fastest laps of the session. However, with their efforts continually focused on improving - Ryan and the team will bring a different car back with them for the race. They will bring a brand new #64 TRIMSPA DODGE out of the Braun Racing stable.
"We are gambling a little with bringing back a car that we never have had on the track," stated Ryan. "We did the same earlier this year and it resulted in a win - we are hoping for the same again this week. We have had a little time off here with our program and that has allowed us to spend some time on this new car as well as our Talladega cars. The field looks very strong this week and I am confident that my guys will give me a good car that is capable of running up front."
Running upfront is something that the rookie has done a lot of this season. In only 12 starts this season in the ARCA RE/MAX Series season, Ryan has incredibly accumulated six wins and six pole awards. He focuses on garnering "Lucky 7" this weekend in Chicago and steering his TRIMSPA DODGE into Victory Lane.
The green flag for the running of the 200-mile ReadyHosting.com 200 is scheduled to wave at 1:00 p.m. CST with LIVE coverage on SPEED CHANNEL.
