#37 Bean and Team GLOCK Want a Short Track Win in Canada
Dexter Bean and Team GLOCK are looking forward to the next short track race on the schedule when they compete in the Cayuga ARCA RE/MAX 250 from Cayuga Motor Speedway on Sunday, June 29th in Hagersville, Ontario. This will be the tenth race in the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX season and Dexter is currently 11th in the driver's point standings.
After a couple of tough runs at the beginning of the season, Dexter and Team GLOCK are optimistic about the remainder of the events on the schedule. The past three race weekends have turned into top ten finishes for Team GLOCK which include a third place finish in Toledo, seventh place in Pocono and ninth at Michigan.
Dexter is especially excited about the short track race this weekend on the Canadian paved track. He finished third in the Hantz Group 200 at the .5 mile Toledo short track on May 18th and they will be carrying the same car to Canada, the 008 GLOCK Chevrolet with Tesar horsepower. Dexter should not have a problem adapting to the 5/8 mile high banked speedway. "I'm excited to get back to short track racing again. I have never raced in Canada before and haven't seen the track at Cayuga. I think it will be to our advantage, because there are not a lot of other teams and drivers that have been there and I feel that I adapt quickly to new tracks. After Team GLOCK's third place finish in Toledo, I am expecting even more at Cayuga," said Dexter.
