Coleman Evaluates NASCAR Busch Options for 2007
18 Year-old ARCA Standout Looks to Find the Right Home for the Future
New York, NY (October 10, 2006) Following a successful 2006 ARCA/NASCAR Busch development schedule with Brewco Motorsports, 18 year-old driving sensation Brad Coleman is weighing his options for the next step in his racing career.
"I am really looking forward to 2007 and want to make sure I partner with the right team," Coleman said. "I am definitely looking for a home and not just a ride. There are opportunities that have presented themselves but I am unable to disclose any names or information at this time as I promised confidentiality. We will know more in a week or two."
In nine ARCA races Coleman posted eight Top 5 Finishes, three poles, a win at Kentucky Speedway, and the highest average finishing position of all ARCA drivers this season (P-3). His ARCA success, experience in two NASCAR Busch Series races, and extensive media exposure have opened the door to his future.
ARCA ReMax Series VP of Marketing and Communications, Mark Gundrum, said Coleman is for real. "Brad is a very talented driver and has an incredible NASCAR future ahead of him. Having him and his team in our series has been a real highlight to our spectacular 2006 season. He is a first-class young man and conducts himself professionally at all times. He has definitely been a fan favorite in ARCA and is always willing to work with us on special events and appearances. I look forward to following what promises to be a bright future for this young man."
Coleman added, "I have had a great year at Brewco and been blessed with a lot of success in the ARCA Series. I really enjoyed my time with the team but it is unsure at this point whether they will be able to secure the sponsorship for 2007, so I must consider all my options as I take my career to the next level. This process will include any solid opportunities that Brewco can develop as well as other top NASCAR teams."
