BLACKJACK RACING ADDS PERSONNEL TO ITS LINEUP IN TIME FOR NASHVILLE
WESTBY, Wisconsin (April 10, 2006) - - BlackJack Racing heads to Nashville Superspeedway next week with high hopes after clinching a very stout ninth place effort in the ARCA open test late last month. And there's another good reason, BJR (BlackJack Racing) welcomes Stephanie Thill who joins the team as Director of Communications in time for the PFG Lester 150 on April 15th.
Stephanie is a Westby, Wisconsin native. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Richland where she earned an Associates degree in Arts & Science and a graduate from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies; Emphasis Public Relations and Organizational Communication.
"I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of the BlackJack Racing team," said Thill."I couldn't have hand-picked a better group of people to work with."
She continued,"This is going to be a challenging experience, but I feel I'm up to the challenge. Dexter is a wonderful person and an excellent driver. Now it's time for everyone else to get to know Dexter behind the scenes and become more familiar with the BlackJack Racing team because we are going to be around for years to come."
BlackJack Racing officials also announced they have retained Chris Knight and Ann Thalacker to serve as liaisons for the team for the remainder of the 2006 season. Knight and Thalacker will assist Thill and the rest of the team in the Public Relations and Marketing Department.
"They all have been a great help to the team," continued Dave. "They have offered ideas and guidance to help steer this team in the right direction. We thank them for that and we're looking forward to having them aboard. The entire BlackJack Racing team would like to thank Ellen Nordvig, former Director of Communications for her time and effort into the team's program and wish her all the best in her future endeavors."
As for the driver of the No. 6 Vote4Dexter.com-Five Star Telecom Chevrolet Monte Carlo, he's excited about the new people surrounding him. "It's cool," said Dexter who was recently nominated to participate in the Racin' for a Livin' reality television program. I'm going to do everything I can in the car to win, and they're going to do everything outside the car to make us look like the best."
The PFG Lester 150 (150 miles/113 laps) is the second of 23 events on the 2006 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule.
