The 24-Year-Old Will Pilot the No. 32 Red Line Oil Dodge for Win-Tron Racing
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (September 4, 2009) -- Turner Motorsports, LLC is pleased to announce that Beau Slocomb will be competing in both ARCA RE/MAX Series events this Labor Day Weekend, piloting the No. 32 Red Line Oil Dodge Charger. Turner Motorsports and Win-Tron Racing, owned by Steve Turner and Kevin Cywinski respectively, have once again teamed together for tonight's race at Toledo Speedway and Monday's race at DuQuoin State Fairgrounds, which will allow Slocomb to climb in the driver's seat once again in the touring series. These two races will mark the second and third career starts for Slocomb in the ARCA RE/MAX Series.
Last weekend at Chicagoland Speedway, Slocomb made his ARCA RE/MAX Series debut in the Win-Tron Racing entry, which marked his first career start on a mile-and-a-half track and his first major race since entering remission from his battle with cancer. The 24-year-old overcame a spin early in the 100-lap race and a tight-handling car to finish on the lead lap in the 12th position. Slocomb has raced in numerous Legends Pro Division and ASA Late Model Races, collecting over 129 feature wins.
"I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to get back in the driver's seat this weekend," said Slocomb. "Last week at Chicago was a major accomplishment and I'm very appreciative of the chance that Steve (Turner) and Kevin (Cywinski) have given me to race again in the No. 32 Win-Tron Racing car. We finished 12th on the lead lap last week, so I think that we can improve on that stat in these two races. Tonight we will be on asphalt at Toledo and then we switch to dirt at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds, so it will be a fun change and everyone is up for the challenge. Maybe we can take this car to Victory Lane at least once."
