The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards will return to Mobile, Alabama on March 14, 2015.

Two-time defending ARCA Mobile 200 winner and Fairhope, Ala. native Grant Enfinger cranked up a packed house media event in Mobile Tuesday early afternoon.

"As the guy who has two ARCA Mobile 200 Jukeboxes, I'm planning on being the first to take home a third," Enfinger said. "I'm really happy to announce that the ARCA Racing Series will be back at Mobile International Speedway in 2015."

ARCA Week will begin on Saturday, March 7 with an open practice for ARCA teams and culminate with the fourth running of the ARCA Mobile 200 on Saturday March 14.

"Mobile will again be the second race on our schedule, following the season opener in Daytona," said ARCA President Ron Drager. "Our teams and officials talk about the Mobile event all year long and it has become one of the most anticipated stops of the series. The energy and community involvement we experience in Mobile is incredible."

"I've had the opportunity to race all over the country but there is nothing like racing in front of the hometown fans at Mobile International Speedway," said Thomas "Moose" Praytor, who finished seventh in the 2014 ARCA Championship standings. "Grant has won the last two. I hope it's time for another Mobile driver to win."

First short-track race in 2015

Mobile will mark the first short-track race on the 2015 schedule. The full, 20-race schedule will be announced Wednesday.

"In just a few short years the drivers, teams, fans and the people of Mobile have made the ARCA Mobile 200 one of the crown jewels of the ARCA Series," said ARCA Mobile 200 promoter, Tommy Praytor. "ARCA Week is a massive undertaking with a thousand moving parts that wouldn't be possible without the Mobile Sports Authority and the Mobile Bay Convention & Visitors Bureau. I can't wait until we rock the jukebox in March!"

Opened in 1964, Mobile International Speedway is Alabama's fastest half-mile and is currently host to the Sunoco Southern Super Series and Miller Lite Super Late Model Series along with a regular schedule of Saturday night racing. Lee and Ida Fields purchased the Speedway in 1972 and for almost 40 years the duo produced "The Fastest Fun Around." The track is currently managed and promoted by Tim Bryant who is also the owner/promoter of Pensacola's Five Flags Speedway, the home of the Snowball Derby.

Mobile International Speedway is part of a long tradition of Alabama tracks ARCA has competed on. The ARCA Racing Series history in Alabama reaches back to 1961 when, on November 5, Ernie Derr won a 250-lap race at Birmingham. ARCA race events at the Fairgrounds in Montgomery in 1962, at Huntsville Speedway in 1963 and 1965, followed by a long tenure at Talladega Superspeedway (1969-present) have maintained ARCA's presence in Alabama for the decades.
