Singing In The Music City: After a disappointing finish in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway back in February, Andy Belmont and his ABM crew are looking forward to putting the headaches of Daytona behind them and hoping to come off the hauler strong and fast and finish in the top-ten Saturday.
You Don't Say: With one of the most impressive entries lists in Nashville ARCA history, the ABM team knows the importance of qualifying. While sitting 18th in car owner points from 2005, the team has a strong chance of making the second ARCA RE/MAX Series race of the season should any problems arise in practice or qualifying.New Chassis: The ABM crew will unload a brand new chassis for this weekend's event. Crew Chief and former ARCA team owner Barry Owen built the brand new chassis over the off-season has the entire team pumped about the chance of being a contender for the win this weekend.
Andy Belmont, driver of the No. 1 Year One Ford Taurus:
On Daytona's Finish: "We didn't have the finish we wanted. We unloaded strong and posted fast and competitive laps but we developed motor fatigue and had to chance it for the rest of the weekend. It really screwed up our start of the 2006 season, we plan to bounce back this weekend."
On The New Paint Scheme: "The car has a new look and it's awesome. We went with a white and red trim. Year One.com president Kevin King wanted us to continually change the paint scheme all year and looked for some of those muscle cars looks of the sixties and seventies. He wasn't a big fan of the Hugger Orange look on the Ford, so we will continually work with it all year. We look forward to some new sporty paint designs from the Year One office this year."
On Nashville: "I haven't had much luck at Nashville, but I am looking forward to this weekend. We need to get our season back on track and need a good finish to do that. The Year One crew has worked around the clock and I feel we have a hotrod. Hopefully for once, I have a good finish at Nashville."
Barry Owen, crew chief of the No. 1 Year One Ford Taurus:
On Last Year's Finishes: "We had some bad luck in the spring and we were okay in the summer, but we have put together a great car for this weekend. The crew has worked extra hard because they want to run good, we all want to run good. The team is pumped heading into this weekend. Andy is confident in the racecar and the crew, we're ready to go."
Goals for the 2006 season: "The team really started to turn around the second half of the season. We gained a lot of ground in both the owner and driver standings, but the bar has been raised for 2006. This team is capable of finishing in the top-ten each and every week. We plan to do whatever it takes to make that happen."
