Nashville, Tenn. (May 4, 2005) -- Bridgestone-equipped Ricky Carmichael (Team Makita Suzuki), Ivan Tedesco (Monster/Pro-Circuit/Kawasaki), and Grant Langston (Monster/Pro-Circuit/Kawasaki) each won their respective THQ AMA Supercross championships in the 2005 season, giving Bridgestone a sweep for the second consecutive year.
Ricky Carmichael clinched his fourth 250cc THQ AMA Supercross championship at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas, on April 30. He clinched his first THQ World Supercross GP championship at Seattle's Qwest Field on April 16. Winning both titles, Carmichael has become the first rider to hold both the THQ World Supercross GP and THQ AMA Supercross series title championships in the same year.
Ivan Tedesco won the THQ AMA 125cc West Supercross championship for the second year in a row on Bridgestone tires. Tedesco clinched the championship at Qwest Field in Seattle on April 16. Grant Langston clinched the THQ AMA 125cc East Supercross championship on April 9 at the Silverdome in Pontiac, Mich.
