PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- Tonight kicks off Speedvision's coverage of the AMA Progressive Insurance U.S. Flat Track Championships. The series will get prime-time coverage tonight starting at 9:30 p.m. (EST) with the Harley-Davidson 883cc Sportster Performance Series race from Charlotte, and at 10 p.m. the Grand National race from Charlotte will be shown in an hour-long program.

This week's programs mark the start of the Progressive Insurance U.S. Flat Track Championship being shown on Speedvision and Fox Sports Net through October.

"We're excited to have our Progressive Insurance Flat Track Championship and its support races back on television," said AMA Pro Racing's CEO Scott Hollingsworth. "The AMA Grand Nationals is the oldest and most traditional series in the AMA and the racing often provides some of the most exciting finishes in all of motorsports. We hope that this television package will make many new fans of the AMA Pro Racing brand of flat-track racing."

Events to be featured on Speedvision and Fox Sports Net include the Charlotte half-mile, Peoria TT, and the Springfield and Du Quoin miles. One of the highlights of the Flat Track television package is Fox Sports Net same-day coverage of the Springfield Mile at 3 p.m. (EST) on Sept. 2.
