AURORA, Ill. (December 12, 2001) - Clear Channel Entertainment's motor sports division announced today the dates and times of the four rounds of the 2002 EA SPORTS Supercross season that will be aired on ABC's Wide World of Sports: Anaheim Round 1, Indianapolis, Houston, and Dallas.
The four races will air on the Sunday following each event.
Anaheim Round 1 Jan 6 3:00 p.m. EST/2:00 p.m. PST
Indianapolis Feb 10 5:00 p.m. EST/2:00 p.m. PST
Houston Mar 24 3:00 p.m. EST/12:00 p.m. PST
Dallas Apr 21 3:00 p.m. EST/12:00 p.m. PST
The one-hour shows will feature a behind-the-scenes look at the world's fastest growing motor sport, complete with rider profiles and in-depth features. Strategically placed, the races have been scheduled to air once a month throughout the season.
The announcing team features former supercross and motocross champion David Bailey, Racer X Illustrated editor in chief Davey Coombs, and ABC's Terry Gannon and Jack Arute. Gannon will serve as host for the races at Anaheim, Indianapolis and Dallas, while Arute will host the Houston round.

The 2002 season marks the fourth-consecutive year that EA SPORTS Supercross will be featured on ABC's Wide World of Sports.
