Bridgestone Announces 2005 AMA Supercross/Motocross Lineup
Nashville, Tenn. (February 19, 2005).Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, LLC (BFNT), is pleased to announce its roster of Bridgestone- sponsored AMA Supercross/Motocross teams and riders for the 2005 season.
In the 250cc division, Bridgestone-shod riders include: James Stewart and Michael Byrne of Team Kawasaki; Chad Reed, David Vuillemin and Tim Ferry, of Team Yamaha; Ricky Carmichael and Sebastien Tortelli of Team Makita Suzuki; Mike LaRocco of Team Amsoil/Chaparral/Factory Connection Honda; and Nick Wey of Team MDK Motorsports.
In the 125cc division, Bridgestone-shod riders include: Davi Millsaps of Team Makita Suzuki; Stephane Roncada, Matt Walker, Ivan Tedesco, Grant Langston, and Paul Carpenter of Team Monster/Pro-Circuit/Kawasaki; Tommy Hahn, Josh Grant, Joaquim Rodrigues, and Billy Laninovich of Team Amsoil/Chaparral/Factory Connection Honda; and Eric McCrummen of Team MDK Motorsports.
In the 2004 AMA Supercross season, Bridgestone riders took all three championships. Chad Reed of Factory Yamaha captured his first THQ 250cc AMA Supercross Championship. James Stewart of Factory Kawasaki won the 125cc Eastern Region Supercross Championship and in the 125cc Western Region, Ivan Tedesco clinched the championship.
In the 2004 AMA Motocross season, James Stewart won the 125cc championship.
