National Arenacross Series Champion Lange to Ride 125cc THQ AMA Eastern Regional Supercross Series Championship

AURORA, Ill. (March 4, 2004) - Recently crowned National Arenacross Series champion Darcy Lange, of Courtney, B.C., will race in the 125cc Eastern Regional THQ AMA Supercross Series starting at St. Louis' Edward Jones Dome March 13.

Lange, 21, captured 29 main event wins of a possible 48 en route to his first National Arenacross Series championship. The hard-earned championship came after some bad luck in 2003 when he missed four rounds due to a broken leg. This season reigning champion Josh Demuth was sidelined for the remainder of the season when he crashed in Baltimore.

Following Demuth's injury, Lange won at least three of the four main events in each of the last six races with 826 points to runner up Tommy Hofmaster's 748.

"I'm pumped to ride supercross, now that arenacross is over," said Lange."I want to see how us arenacross guys can compete against those guys that have ridden supercross all season long. I want to represent arenacross and just do the best that I can."
