PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- Late January and early February is when many motorcyclists can only dream about riding. For some brave souls, however, this is prime time for motorcycle racing.

The AMA Ice Race Nationals will be held January 31 and February 1, 2004 at Albright Shores in Gladwin, Michigan. With a total of 20 classes for ATVs and bikes, including classes for studded and un-studded tires, the Nationals bring out both the fastest and heartiest racers in the country. The biggest events of the 2004 AMA Ice Race Nationals will be the purse-paying Cold Cutter Shootout races, for A and Pro riders in 450 and Open classes.

Practice begins at 9:00a.m. and racing begins at 11:00a.m. both days. Lodging is available, but is some distance from the track, so make plans early. For more information about the 2004 AMA Ice Race Nationals, call (810) 686-1994 or (810) 845-1192.
