Tavares, Florida -- Alex Job Racing will add Wolf Henzler to the driver lineup in the number 24/McKenna/mail2web.com/Xybernaut/Alex Job Racing/Porsche 911 GT3 RSR for the 10-hour American Le Mans Series Petit Le Mans race to be run on September 25th at Road Atlanta.
This season Henzler has dominated the Porsche Supercup series in Germany where he raced to the overall championship. In an amazing season, the 29 year old German amassed nine wins in eleven races. In the two races he did not win, he finished second. Henzler's record in the United States for 2004 is unblemished. He raced in the SCCA World Challenge GT event at Infineon Raceway in July and won from his second place qualifying position as well as winning both Supercup races on the F1 weekend in Indianapolis. He will join AJR pilots Marc Lieb and Romain Dumas in the number 24 AJR Porsche. "The only tracks that I have driven in the USA are Indianapolis and Infineon, so I am looking forward to racing at Road Atlanta. Jorg Bergmeister has told me of the hilly terrain and that it is very challenging for a driver," said Henzler. "Petit Le Mans is a big event and well known in Europe. I am looking forward to racing with Marc and Romain, especially Romain as he was my teammate in 2003. Alex Job Racing is one of the most professional Porsche teams in the world, so racing with them will be an honor."
"Wolf is an accomplished Porsche driver and will be a welcome addition to our lineup," said Alex Job, team owner. "His performance at Infineon and his record in Porsche Supercup proves he can drive and we are looking forward to having him on the team at Petit."
