Polesitter James Weaver, in the #16 Dyson Racing Lola took the green flag and has maintained the lead around the halfway mark at Mosport International Raceway. Lieb took a short lived lead over Pechnik he made contact with the Turn 2 tire wall after gaining the lead. Lieb did manage to continue back to the pits with front end damage where his crew is currently making repairs. "I maybe braked a little too late. It seemed we were running out of breaks and then - straight into the wall," stated Lieb.
Lieb complained of soreness according to Porsche spokesman, was checked by the track medical centre and has been transported to Lake Ridge Health in Oshawa for observation of neck pain.
