Terry Borcheller has made four trips this week, covering 4215 nautical miles to three American states and one Canadian province. He started in Sonoma, Calif., on Sunday, flew home to Phoenix, Ariz., for a day, then to Portland, Ore., on Tuesday, back to Phoenix and on to Trois-Rivières, Qué.

Victory Racing

Borcheller stopped in Portland on July 29 to speak to 20 teens attending the Victory Racing Camp. The teens enjoyed on-track instruction in go-karts, plus team-building exercises and motivational sessions. "It is really a good program and a great thing to be part of," Borcheller said.

take to the streets

The American Le Mans Series will be part of the 34th Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières (Qué.) this weekend. Borcheller will again drive the No. 63 ACEMCO Motorsports Ferrari 360 Modena GT, joining forces with Shane Lewis of Jupiter, Fla., for the three-hour race.

Borcheller has two previous victories on the 1.52-mile Trois-Rivières street circuit - a World Challenge win in 1998 and a Rolex Sports Car Series win in 2000.

"I like the track," he said. "It's got a lot of history - it's one of the longest-lasting street circuits in North America. Because of that, there are always a lot of fans. I also like it because I made one of my most famous passes on Peter Cunningham to win a World Challenge race there. I passed him on the last turn on the last lap for the win."
