August 2, 2002 Englewood, CO -- KnightHawk Racing's Chad Block grabbed the LMP 675 class pole in today's Qualifying Session for Le Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres this Saturday, August 3, 2002 at Trois-Rivieres in Quebec, Canada.

Block put the #11 Gestetner/DNTLWorks MG Lola 675 LMP on the class pole -- and 5th overall - with a best lap time of 1:02.3794. Block completed a total of seven laps in the 20-minute session and placed 1.2729 seconds ahead of the next in class Archangel prototype.

"Qualifying went really, really well today," said Block. "We had made some adjustments to the car over the last two days that absolutely went in the right direction. The crew has done an outstanding job of preparing the car. I'd like to thank KnightHawk again for the opportunity -- it just made my birthday that much sweeter. I'm very happy to give KnightHawk their second pole -- and for getting my first. I'm sure we'll have a good race -- if we stay clean and reliable we'll be there at the end."

"We're really excited about grabbing the pole today," said team co-owner and driver Steve Knight. "The team has done an absolutely stunning job of getting the car ready and it was working really well. Chad did an excellent job of qualifying -- he really kicked it up a notch and brought the car home for the team's second pole. Congratulations to Chad on his first pole -- he deserves it! Now let's hope that the race goes just as well!"
