TRG to Add Second Sebring Entry

Petaluma, CA (March 3, 2011)- Just two weeks away from the 59th Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, TRG will add a second entry in their bid to win the GTC category. Despite four victories at The Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona, the 24 Hours of Le Mans as well as last year’s Petit Le Mans, TRG has never taken the top step at Sebring, and has already signed the talented Dion von Moltke to help steer the team’s no. 68 Porsche GT3 Cup car to victory.

An American of South African descent, the 20-year old sensation is a perfect fit for TRG. A three-time winner in the GRAND-AM ranks, Von Moltke, just like TRG drivers Andy Lally and Spencer Pumpelly, has driven just about everything in sportscars. From numerous top-10’s in the GRAND-AM Daytona Prototype category, to GT racing at Daytona, to even racing in LMP1 for the American Le Mans Series, von Moltke brings a high degree of experience well beyond his years to compliment his speed.

The remaining teammates are still to be announced, and opportunities remain available for sponsored drivers.

For Team Owner Kevin Buckler, the addition of such a strong lead driver is a huge boost for the team.

“When Dion tested with us at Homestead several months ago, I was incredibly impressed,” stated Buckler. “Dion was instantly on the pace, and has continued to be through all of our subsequent tests at Sebring and beyond. At a race like Sebring, you need a driver who not only has the speed, but the racecraft and experience to make it a winning effort, and Dion has all of the elements to win. He’s just like Spencer or Andy, he’s driven everything, and done it well. Sebring remains our one items missing in the trophy case, and to have two cars capable of doing it is a big boost.”

For von Moltke, the opportunity to drive with such an established team is a huge opportunity.

“I’m very thankful to everyone at TRG for giving me this opportunity,” stated the 20-year old. “I’ve really been impressed with the team during testing, and heading in to Sebring I really hope we can deliver.”

With the event only two weeks away, the team is still engaging opportunities for the remaining seats in car no. 68. Interested parties should feel free to contact, or call 707.935.3999.

The 59th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring will take place on Saturday, March 19th, and broadcast live on before re-airing on ABC several days later.

TRG is a full-service motorsports company offering a total driver ladder approach. This approach starts with track days, goes to club events, up into street stock series and culminates in the ultimate goal of professional motorsports. With sports car focused facilities in Petaluma, California (Infineon Raceway) and Millville, New Jersey (New Jersey Motorsports Park) the team can offer turn-key support as well as arrive-and-drive programs.

The company’s NASCAR operations are headquartered in Mooresville, North Carolina. The team fields a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series entry and has the capacity to run ARCA, Nationwide and the Camping World Truck Series.

The Racer’s Group was founded in 1993 and has been competing at the top level of motor racing. The team boasts Rolex Series GT championships in 2005 and 2006 and holds the record for the most wins in Grand-Am with 32. The team’s resume is highlighted by five championships, four Rolex 24 Hour at Daytona victories, and a Le Mans 24 Hour win.
