The American Le Mans Series has disallowed the qualifying times of five cars that took part in today's qualifying for the 52nd 12 Hours of Sebring, including the times of the class pole sitters in LMP2, GTS, and GT.

LMP2 class polesitter Jeff Bucknum's qualifying time was disallowed because his Pillbeam's Nissan engine failed the so-called "stall test," which means that the engine was receiving air from an outside source. This is illegal under ALMS rules. Marino Franchitti's Rand Racing Lola will now lead the class to the green flag.

In GTS, Oliver Gavin's pole sitting time was disallowed after race officials determined that his Corvette's rear wing end plates did not comply with ALMS rules. As a result, the ALMS has awarded Ron Fellows the class pole.

In addition, the ALMS disallowed the time of the Carsport America Viper, which qualified third in GTS, due to incorrect restrictors.

In GT, the ALMS disallowed the time of the pole sitting BAM Porsche of Mike Rockenfeller because its front splitter was 2 millimeters too long. The No. 24 Alex Job Racing Porsche, which qualified third, also had its qualifying time disallowed after race officials determined that its front spoiler was too low.

Timo Bernhard, who inherited the pole last year after the Orbit Porsche's pole winning time was disallowed, is now the GT class pole sitter.
