SEBRING, Florida - March 15 - Timo Bernhard and Jorg Bergmesiter, hard-luck drivers all last year in the American Le Mans Series, have stepped out smartly into the GT class lead in their #24 Alex Job Racing McKenna Porsche 911 GT3 RS after two hours of the Mobil1 12 Hours of Sebring.

Bernhard put the car on the pole in Thursday, and ran the first hour and ten minutes, and handed the car over to Bergmeister, who has maintained a one-minute margin over the second-place Petersen Motorsports Porsche of Johnny Mowlem/Nic Jonsson/Craig Stant on. The second Alex Job Racing McKenna Porsche, with defending Sebring and ALMS GT co-champions Sascha Maassen/Lucas Luhr is third, while the British P.K. Sport racer of Robin Liddell/Piers Masarati/David Warnock is fourth.

Other two-hour notes:

--The #79 Justin Jackson/David Murry/Brian Cunningham J3 Porsche broke off a wheel and is stuck on the course.

--The #43 Leo Hindery/Mark Lieb/Peter Baron Orbit Porsche had the engine seize, and they are out of the event. Lieb had worked his way from the back of the pack to fourth place before the engine quit.
