The No. 60 Porsche GT3 RS of Peter Boss, Robin Liddell and Hugh Plumb has held its own through the GT category at the halfway point of the 52nd running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. The Pirelli-tired Porsche racing machine is currently running eighth position in GT, or 21st overall.

Approximately five hours into the 12-hour endurance classic, the gear shift lever failed while Plumb was behind the wheel of No. 60. The efficient crew replaced the part and sent Plumb back on track with only two positions lost in the GT category.

"It just came off in my hand," Plumb said of the gear shift lever incident. "Luckily we got it in the pit and the crew switched one out in record time. I lost a few positions, but we're confident that we can make them up. It's all about being ready and running a steady race, and we're doing both. So much can happen in a 12-hour period, we're glad to be out there, especially with so many cars having problems early on."

"It's been a good run so far. We haven't had any major gremlins, just that gear lever and that's it. I'm having a good time at my debut ALMS race. I like the series and the PK team is great. We want to bring that Porsche to the checkered flag in one piece and so far, Hugh, Robin and I have been running consistently. We'll see how the rest of the evening goes."
