NOTES OF INTEREST
Sears Point Raceway has hosted a race for the American Le Mans Series every year since the formation of the series in 1999. The ALMS uses the full 2.52-mile "long" course at Sears Point, not the shorter course used by NASCAR in its events at the track. The Grand Prix of Sonoma presented by Fosters will be the first race for the ALMS since it opened its season in March with the Sebring 12-hour event. Among the competitors at Sears Point will be the four class winners from Sebring, including Audi Sport North America (LMP 900), Intersport Racing (LMP 675), Corvette Racing (GTS) and Alex Job Racing (GT).
