Braselton, Georgia -- J3 Racing, based down the road in Buford, is ready for their home race, round nine of the American Le Mans Series Petit Le Mans to be run at Road Atlanta on Saturday.

Petit Le Mans is one of the series signature events. The race will start at 11:20 a.m. on Saturday and finish into the evening 1,000-miles or 10-hours, which ever comes first.

Nic Jönsson has rejoined the team from their successful run at Sebring in the series first race. Jönsson joins J3 regulars Tim Sugden and Justin Jackson behind the wheel of the number 79/Rock Star Energy Drink/J3 Racing/Porsche 911 RSR.

The team has witnessed its best finishes in the series longer races this year. At Sebring in March, at the end of 12-hours the team finished in second. "We had our best run of the season at Sebring," said Justin Jackson. "I hope we can bookend the season by having a good race at the 10-hours of Road Atlanta. Of all the circuits on the schedule, the team has the most laps here. It is only about 10-miles from our race shop, so kind of in our back yard."

Tim Sugden is coming off a win in the FIA GT series, "I am trying to transfer some of the performance that I've had in Europe over to here. The team knows the track and the setup for this circuit. We seem a little off of the pace down the straight, but we are going to rely on strategy and pace this weekend. We need to be around when the clock reaches about nine hours and see where we are at then."

Jönsson is also optimistic about the weekend and the luck he brings to the team. "At Sebring we were second which was a great race. We will need some Sebring luck to help us here as well. Every team brings out their best stuff here at Petit. The team is up for a good finish and I am hoping I can do my part to help return them to the podium."

The team welcomes energy drink maker Rock Star to sponsor the number 79 car for the weekend.

In addition, J3 will field their number 78/J3 Racing/Porsche RSR for Michael Cawley, Terry Burgess and Leah Keen.

The race will be televised live on the Speed Channel starting at 11:00 a.m. EST on Saturday.
