Friday GT/Combined practice session

The No. 23 and 24 McKenna/™ Porsche GT3 RS was first and second fastest in GT class during the first practice session of the Chevy Grand Prix of Atlanta on Friday.

Jorg Bergmeister was behind the wheel of the No. 24 racing machine when he turned the session's quickest lap of 1:25.370.

Not far behind his teammate's car, Lucas Luhr held the second quickest position with a time of 1:25.465 in the No. 23 racing machine

Lucas Luhr, No. 23 McKenna; Porsche GT3 RS:

"It is really hot today but really it was good. The car is handling well and we really made some small adjustments. The sun isn't out, but it's hot in the car! The Michelins are feeling good, even after they are running on that hot circuit."

Jorg Bergmeister, No. 24 McKenna; Porsche GT3 RS:

"I'm happy with the lap time, but it's early and we have a lot of things to go through. It's hard to work everything out in a short session. It feels like Le Mans did, very warm and wet."

Alex Job, team owner of Alex Job Racing:

"We're happy to be one and two, but the No. 66 car is close behind. It's only a test day and tomorrow will tell. We did some minor work on both cars' handling and that was all. We're happy with how the Porsche feels. We'll see about the weather, it's really hot in that car right now."

Luhr and Bergmeister will each handle driving duties in No. 23 and No. 24 during tomorrow's qualifying session.
