Farnbacher Loles Looks to Return to Victory Lane at Road America.
8.14.09 Elkhart Lake, WI - In 2008, Farnbacher Loles won its first American Le Mans Series Race with the #87 Farnbacher Loles Racing/Marquis Jet/IPC Systems Porsche 911 GT3 RSR driven by Dirk Werner, Richard Westbrook, and Bryce Miller. This weekend, the ALMS and Farnbacher Loles Racing return to the legendary 14-turn road course located in Elkhart Lake, WI, and once again Miller is behind the wheel of the #87, this time with Porsche factory driver Wolf Henzler.
"Road America is one of my favorite circuits maybe my favorite, until I found Spa," Miller said. "It's really high-speed and the RSR is fun to drive there, especially because of the assistance that the Porsche's extra aerodynamics lends to the performance of the car at a high-speed circuit like that. It's good to be going back after having won there last year."
Currently forth in the GT2 category, Wolf Henzler is excited to be co-driving with Miller again. "Bryce did a great job at Road America last year and was able to help get Farnbacher Loles Racing their first American Le Mans Series victory. There is very tough competition this year in the GT2 Class, but I think we will do well in the race."
Team principal Gregory Loles is optimistic about the team's chances at a strong showing at Road America. "Everyone loves Elkhart Lake, going to Siebkens, and watching the cars fly through The Kink," Loles said. "It really is an iconic circuit and it was an honor to win there last year. There are some new challenges in GT2, but with Miller and Henzler in the car together, I believe we're in an excellent position for this weekend."
