Spring Lake, Mich. - ACEMCO Motorsports is preparing to leave for Elkhart Lake for round seven of the American Le Mans Series race to be run at Road America on August 22nd.

Terry Borcheller and Johnny Mowlem, drivers of the number 63/ACEMCO Motorsports/Saleen S7-R, are currently third in the ALMS GTS standings with 71 points.

Road America is a four-mile circuit with 12 turns that features a great mix of high speed and slow corners.

Johnny Mowlem believes the S7-R will like the track at Road America. "It is a tough track with long straight-aways and fast corners which will require heavy braking. It is a tough track, similar to Mosport. This will be my first opportunity to drive the car on this track. The testing and race weekend at Mosport allowed us to put a lot of miles on the car and work at improving the overall setup which will pay benefits at Road America."

Teammate Terry Borcheller is looking forward to Road America. "The last time I drove a Saleen there we were leading until the engine let go. There are a lot of fast high-speed corners like turns one, two, seven, the carrousel, kink and eleven which is an advantage for our car. The three long straits will also allow us to use the Elan power. I am looking forward to the race, I have a good following there and that always makes it fun!"

"Road America is a track that should really suit our car," said Jeff Giangrande. "The overall makeup of the track with the fast sections, hills and straights rewards a car with good aero and a motor with a lot of torque. Our drivers like the track so we are looking forward to successful weekend."

Round seven of the American Le Mans Series will be August 22nd and televised live on Speed Channel starting at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time.

ACEMCO Automotive is based in Spring Lake, Michigan and is a leader in the engineering, manufacture and assembly of metal stampings for light trucks, SUVs and passenger cars.
